Mophead - The nickname used to describe the familiar 'snowball' bloom on
these hydrangeas. The florets seen are all sterile forming large
colorful globular heads.
Lacecap - Lacecap flowers are made up of small fertile flowers in the center with a
ring of larger sterile florets around the outside. The flower head has
a comparatively flat, roughly disc-shaped appearance.
Zone hardiness is USDA zone 6 to 9, unless otherwise noted. Bloom times
vary just slightly but most bloom late spring through fall.
