A diadem was an ornamental headband worn by Eastern monarchs as a badge of royalty, thus we call this lovely hydrangea the "crown jewel." This compact shrub is one of the most faithful blooming Serratas in the nursery. The delicate small blooms and serrated leaves hold up well to heat and sun. It is stunning as a pink but will be a Wedgwood blue in acidic soils. Great in pots, on patios or tucked in a small space, this specimen will amaze you with a kaleidoscope of colors.
