This lovely specimen has become a favorite at the nursery. It is always one of the first hydrangeas to bloom and lasts well into fall. The large petals form a head that is usually six to eight inches wide. We like to call it Teller Purple but this pH sensitive beauty is just as beautiful as a deep rosy pink or a deep cobalt blue. Another sturdy lacecap, Eisvogel is one that can be dried and used as a cut flower due to its sturdy thick stems and leaves. Bred in Switzerland at the Federal Research Institute for Horticulture in 1979.
