Show-stopping color has made this hydrangea a favorite of florists and landscapers. This hydrangea blooms deep blue or vivid pink depending on the acidity of the soil. This shrub also resists scorching better than others in hot afternoon sun. This is a wonderfully dark green foliaged plant whose leaves turn dark red to copper in the autumn. Bred by August Steiniger of Germany in 1950.
