A vigorous grower of ancient ancestry, Otaksa has been making gardens richer ever since introduced in 1862. It's truly one of the great hydrangeas. Depending on the soil type, the blooms are pink or blue with a backdrop of light green foliage. This hydrangea has one of the largest flower blooms. The main flower head is made up of a number of smaller flower clusters which can be separated out for drying if desired, and as a result is an excellent choice for drying.
