This old fashioned hydrangea from Holland is the color of pink cotton candy in neutral soil. The petals begin creamy white and age a darker pink as the blooms mature. The petals are slightly serrated and stand out against the apple green leaves. This hydrangea needs afternoon shade and room to grow to thrive. La France blooms early in the season and lasts well into fall. Bred in the Netherlands by D. Baardse in 1915.
