The foliage on this variety is sturdy and will withstand some afternoon sun. We grow this variety as a purple but it is easily changed to pink or blue and just as lovely. This variety reminds us of Brestenburg with its compact nature and free flowering ability and tightly packed petals. The Horben is usually one of the first varieties to bloom for us in the nursery and is stunning with deep, dark green leaves. Bred by E. Haller in 1973, Switzerland.
